The First God
The first god in Greek mythology was Chaos who represented the void he was shortly thereafter he was joined by gaia who represented the earth.
The God of the Dead
Hades the God of the Dead has strong powers like bringing back the dead under his control and the power of the Underworld’s flame and the power to judge people to see if they go to the Underworld or the Afterlife.
The God of the Afterlife
Osiris was the judge of the dead and the underworld and the god who granted all life including sprouting vegetation and the fertile flooding of the Nile river he was described as “he who is permanently benign and youthful”.
The God of War
Ares the god of war is the son of hera and zeus and was one of the twelve olympians in Roman mythology his equivalent is mars Ares symbols include the sword, spear, shield, chariot, dog, boar, vulture, and the flaming torch.
The God of Fire
Hephaestus was the Greek god of fire, blacksmiths, craftsman and volcanoes. He lived in his own palace on mount olympus where he crafted tools for the other gods. He was known as a kind and hardworking god,but also had a limp and was considered ugly by the other gods.
The God of the Underworld
Erebus was the god of the underworld also known as the place of darkness between earth and hades; his name was often used to refer to part of the Greek underworld where the spirits of the dead pass after the leave of the body; the underworld was sometimes called tartarus.
The God of Destruction
Perses is the titan god of destruction he was the father of hekate the goddess of witchcraft by the titanis asteria perses name means the destroyer or the ravager from the Greek words perso and pertho.
The God of Light
Apollo is one of the Olympian deities in classical Greek and Roman religion and Greek Roman mythology the national divinity of the Greek apollo has been recognized as the god of archery and more.
